Tommorow Kindergarten and 1st graders will be lion dancing around the campus. One class will perform for the High School Principal using fan dancing, ukulele, puppets, and lions (of course!). The children built their puppets with the help of the High School Levels I and II and the Red Dragons Club. The Red Dragons have organized and planned such a lovely campus event! Without the Red Dragons I would never have been able to pull this off! Who are the Red Dragons? The Red Dragons are a group of parents who love children and things Chinese. We meet every Thursday morning to plan activities for the LJA Chinese Department, chit-chat, eat treats, make lovely Chinese crafts, exchange funny stories about the students, do a little tai chi, and sometimes learn a few words! Our next big acitivity with the children will be to create bentos based on Honolulu local Susan Yuen's book Hawaii Bento. All LJA Ohana including babies are welcome to join the Red Dragon Club Thursdays at 8:00 in Room B3 (Beijing of the Pacific) .
